Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a high volume of payables, with specific experience in the automotive retail industry being a significant advantage. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
• Match purchase orders with invoices to verify accuracy of billing
• Ensure timely payments to vendors while adhering to payment terms
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment inquiries and issues
• Maintain organized records and documentation of accounts payable transactions

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in an accounts payable role, preferably in a high-volume environment
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in the automotive retail industry is highly desirable
